Thornton’s weekend weather will warm up but conditions remain unsettled

Another cool day today and then we see temperatures return to at or a bit above average. There will, however, continue to be some chances for showers and thunderstorms.

For today, we have a day much like yesterday. Clouds will be pretty persistent with temperatures near 60 degrees. There will be some scattered shower activity possible throughout. Tonight, some clearing will be seen and lows will dip to around 40 degrees.

Saturday sees some sun return, at least for the morning. Then the PM will see cloud cover increase. After noon, we see a decent chance for showers and thunderstorms although they aren’t expected to be very strong. Highs will be in the upper 60s. Saturday night, it will be mostly cloudy with lows in the mid-40s. Some showers and storms may continue in the overnight hours.

Sunday will be the warmest day of the period despite seeing a good dose of clouds. Mostly cloudy skies will be above with the high near 70 degrees. Light showers / thunderstorms will be possible throughout the day into the evening. Winds will be breezy, particularly in the afternoon.

Have a great weekend!
