There is lots going on this weekend, most notably Thornton’s WinterFest all weekend and then the Denver Broncos game Sunday. Mother Nature will be playing nice for those events with no big impacts from weather.
For Friday the 13th, mostly sunny skies will be above with highs in the upper 40s. We will see some breezy winds in the afternoon and early evening. Tonight, skies remain mostly clear with lows in the mid-20s.
Saturday warms up a good bit. Look for highs in the mid-50s under sunny skies and with dry, calm conditions. Saturday night, lows will dip to around 30 degrees under partly cloudy skies.
Sunday closes things out in pretty nice fashion. Sunny skies continue and highs will again be in the mid-50s. We will, however, see some breezy PM winds.
Have a great weekend!
We get one more mild day before a series of systems cools us down starting tomorrow. Today we will again enjoy above normal temperatures but with some clouds and wind.
Partly sunny skies start us off and will remain throughout the day. Conditions will be dry during the daytime with some breezy winds in the afternoon and evening. High temperatures will top out right near the 70 degree mark.
A cold front will push through this evening and temperatures will drop quickly. With it, we could see some light rain overnight, perhaps with a few flakes of snow in the early morning hours tomorrow. Low temperatures will be dipping to the mid-30s.
A passing system will mix up the weather today, returning us to winterish conditions. However, it won’t be particularly dramatic for us with the worst being to the west and northeast.
Mostly cloudy skies start us off and will soon give way to cloudy skies. Temperatures today are going to remain flat with a daytime high of only around 40 degrees. Winds will be picking up and out the northeast this afternoon and evening. Daytime hours bring a chance for some showers, rain and a rain / snow mix being the most likely form. No accumulation is expected during this timeframe.
Late afternoon, chances for showers increase and continue through the overnight hours. Any precipitation will change to all snow. As mentioned above, the best of the storm should stay west of I-25. For us here to the east, a trace to 2 inches will be possible overnight. Low temperatures will be in the mid-20s.
Following yesterday’s thunderstorms, we cool down today. Moisture remains abundant though and another round of storms is expected.
Partly sunny skies start us off and will be with us through the morning. Conditions will initially be calm with highs topping out in the mid-70s.
Thunderstorms will again develop after noon. Best chances come from about 3:00pm to 9:00pm. Some of these storms will again have the potential to turn severe with large hail, damaging wind and brief, heavy rain. How strong the storms get will depend on how much daytime heating we receive to get things brewing.
Tonight, storms will begin to taper off after 9:00pm but some activity may potentially be seen throughout the night just like last night. Lows will be in the mid-50s.
Another visit from Old Man Winter. Light snow has been falling for a few hours now and will continue for much of the day. The bigger story though will be the cold temperatures.
Cloudy skies will be above throughout the daytime hours. Light snow will fall through the morning then gradually ease in the afternoon. We are looking at 1 to 3 inches accumulation. More than the snow is the cold. We already saw our high temperature for the day and the mercury will now be in the teens throughout the day.
Tonight, any lingering snow will end in the early evening. We will then see some of the cloud cover ease. Overnight lows tonight dip into negative territory.
A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 8:00pm for the snow and ice. Tonight, a Wind Chill Advisory will kick in as the cold temperatures and breezy winds will make it dangerous to be outside for long.
