After a wet start, Thornton’s Tuesday will dry out, warm up and be windy.

Some nice, much-needed showers to start the day today. The rain won’t be lasting long though and in its place, temperatures will still be warmer than normal and we will have some wind.

Light to moderate rain showers will be seen until about 9:00am then taper off pretty quickly. As the rain ends, cloud cover will dissipate and we will see mostly sunny skies. Northwest winds will ramp up with gusts of 30+ mph being seen throughout the rest of the day. High temperatures will top out in the mid to upper 60s.

Tonight, skies will be mostly clear initially then we see coverage increase in the early morning hours tomorrow. Lows will be in the low 40s.
