(NWS)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>November is not normally the time of year for tornadoes, least of all in states in northern latitudes like Illinois and Wisconsin.\u00a0 That however did not stop a mini-outbreak yesterday as at least two tornadoes struck and as many as seven were possible.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Watch video of the twister below<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Severe thunderstorms were spawned yesterday by a strong cold front moving across the upper Midwest.\u00a0 The twisters were the first in 26 years to strike the area in November &#8211; you have to go all the way back to November 9, 1984 to find the last one.<\/p>\n<p>The National Weather Service has confirmed that the strongest of the tornadoes yesterday was an EF2 packing winds of 135mph.\u00a0 It covered a path of 16.4 miles and had a maximum width of 200 yards.\u00a0 The twister overturned a bus, caused significant damage to buildings and injured six people.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Below you can see a video of the twister as it passed near Loves Park, Illinois.<\/p>\n<p><object classid=\"clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000\" width=\"480\" height=\"385\" codebase=\"http:\/\/download.macromedia.com\/pub\/shockwave\/cabs\/flash\/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0\"><param name=\"allowFullScreen\" value=\"true\" \/><param name=\"allowscriptaccess\" value=\"always\" \/><param name=\"src\" value=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/dEgbm-t0_As?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US&amp;color1=0x2b405b&amp;color2=0x6b8ab6\" \/><param name=\"allowfullscreen\" value=\"true\" \/><embed type=\"application\/x-shockwave-flash\" width=\"480\" height=\"385\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/dEgbm-t0_As?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US&amp;color1=0x2b405b&amp;color2=0x6b8ab6\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" allowscriptaccess=\"always\"><\/embed><\/object><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>November is not normally the time of year for tornadoes, least of all in states in northern latitudes like Illinois and Wisconsin.\u00a0 That however did not stop a mini-outbreak yesterday as at least two tornadoes struck and as many as seven were possible.
