Wednesday in Thornton to offer above normal temps, increasing clouds
Wednesday, December 8th, 2021 5:03am MDTAnother day with temperatures a good ways above normal. Clouds will be increasing though as a weak system passes by.
Mostly clear skies greet us at sunrise but from there cloud cover will be increasing. By this afternoon, it will be partly sunny. Conditions will be calm and dry for the majority of the day with the mid-afternoon bringing some breezy winds. High temperatures will be topping out in the mid-50s.
Tonight, winds will settle down before midnight. Skies will be partly clear with lows around freezing.
Looking ahead to the snow potential Thursday night into Friday, the system remains on track. As has been previously stated, this will not be a big one for the Front Range. Thornton may receive and inch or so from Thursday night into Friday.
