Thornton’s workweek starts off with warmer temps, just a bit of a chance for a storm

The cooler weather we saw the last couple of days is not a memory and we begin to see summer heat stage a return. Today will see highs a bit below normal and a return to the 90s lies in wait.
Today starts off with some clouds then those will ease giving us mostly sunny skies for the majority of the daytime hours. High temperatures will top out in the mid-80s. Mid-afternoon into early evening have just a slight chance for some thunderstorm activity although at this time it isn’t likely we will get anything.
Tonight, skies will be clearing and conditions calm. Overnight lows will be in the mid-50s.
Looking at the balance of the workweek, highs in the 90s return Tuesday and Wednesday then we cool a bit to the mid-80s for Thursday and Friday. More in the extended forecast here.
