Thornton’s weekend weather to start pleasant then offer up a good chance for snow

Friday, January 8th, 2021 5:17am MDT

A little bit of a mixed bag of weather ahead for us. While it will start and finish nice enough, in between Saturday is going to bring some light snow.

For Friday, look for sunny skies for much of the day with calm, dry conditions. Highs will top out in the mid-40s. Tonight, clouds will be increasing and overnight lows dip to around 20 degrees.

Saturday will see the arrival of a storm system. Cloudy skies will be above for most of the day and highs will only be around the freezing mark. Some flurries will be possible in the morning then the afternoon and evening bring good chances for snow. It will not be amounting to much though with Thornton looking to get 1 to 2 inches total. Saturday night snow will be ending and skies slowly clearing. Lows will drop to around 20 degrees.

Sunday sees a recovery with a return to mostly sunny skies. Temperatures will remain chilly though with highs in the mid to upper 30s.

Have a great weekend!
