Thornton’s weekend to feature a bit of everything from sun to wind to snow

Friday, February 19th, 2021 5:06am MDT

A variety of weather conditions on tap for us over the three day period although none will be particularly extraordinary. There will be a good bit of sun but also some wind and a bit of a chance for some snow.

For Friday, some clouds will be around initially but then ease and lead to mostly sunny skies for much of the day. Temps will be near normal with highs in the mid-40s. Winds will be breezy, particularly this afternoon. Tonight, skies will be mostly clear with overnight lows in the mid to upper teens.

Saturday will have a bit of a mix of conditions. The day starts out with sun and calm conditions but later in the day, a weak system will see things turn colder. Some light snow will be possible tomorrow afternoon and evening but little, if any accumulation, is expected. Saturday night into Sunday morning, skies will clear and overnight lows will be in the mid-teens.

Sunday will close the weekend out with a healthy dose of sun. Temperatures will be a bit chilly with highs in the upper 30s and winds will be a bit breezy in the afternoon. Have a great weekend!
