Cool temperatures, a healthy dose of rain for Thornton’s Thursday

We escaped any real weather drama yesterday (thankfully) and now settle in for a period of cool, wet weather. Rain will be present throughout the day today and temps well below normal.
Cloudy skies start us off and will continue today and tonight. Temperatures will top out only in the low 50s with breezy winds. Look for rain pretty much all day with perhaps some thunder mixed in this afternoon.
Tonight, rain will ease a bit but still be present for most of the period. Lows will be in the mid-40s.
A Flood Watch has gone into effect and will run through at least 6:00am tomorrow. The near continual rain will see a lot of run off leading to swelling waterways and possibly some street flooding.
