A good bit cooler Thursday, good chances for showers and thunderstorms

Mother Nature held off on the rain until after dark last night and delivered a nice 0.40 inches in Thornton. Today, we cool down, see more clouds and stand another chance for rain.
Mostly cloudy skies start us off and will stick with us most of the day. Some models do indicate that cloud cover will ease though and if it does, that would help in the heating and lead to more afternoon convection. A few sprinkles may occur this morning then in the afternoon we should see more showers and thunderstorms, particularly after 3:00pm. High temperatures will be in the mid-60s.
Tonight, showers and thunderstorms will continue although decrease in coverage and intensity. Skies remain mostly cloudy and lows will be around 50 degrees.
