The mercury in Thornton approaches record-setting territory
Tuesday, January 22nd, 2013 4:14pm MDTThe mercury in Thornton topped out at 66.7° degrees today. That is 22.7° above normal for the date and very close to the Denver record of 68° for the date set in 1981.
Look for more of the same tomorrow – possibly even a degree or two warmer. The record high for tomorrow is 69°, also set in 1981, and we will come close.
Incidentally the humidity bottomed out at a very dry 9% this afternoon! The fire danger continues to be quite high so please be careful.
