Friday, April 9th, 2010 6:32am MDT
The ‘boys of summer’ return to the Mile High City today as the Colorado Rockies stage their home opener against the San Diego Padres. The Rockies arrive at Coors Field 1-2 after their opening road trip against the Brewers and are looking to take advantage of the home field to turn things around.
In terms of weather, there won’t be much to complain about for the team or the fans. The normal high temperature for this date is 59 degrees and Denver will beat that pretty handily.
Temperature when the first pitch is thrown out at 2:10pm will be around 64 degrees under sunny skies. It will be slightly breezy with the wind out of the southeast at about 15 mph.
During the game temperatures should remain pretty stable and in the mid-60’s range throughout. The wind will continue though and get a bit gusty, particularly during the 3:00 hour. A few clouds may intrude but it will remain mostly sunny.
Below is the hour by hour graph of the weather you can expect for the game. Enjoy and GO ROCKIES!
