Wednesday to offer cold temperatures, snow later in the day

Wednesday, February 17th, 2021 5:12am MST

Our wintry weather pattern continues today with below freezing temps and some snow. While the white stuff won’t amount to much, just about anything is welcome at this point.

Some areas of fog will be seen early in the usual spots so be aware and slow down if you encounter it. Overall, mostly cloudy to cloudy skies will be above today, perhaps just a brief break in the mid-morning. Highs will top out in the upper 20s / lower 30s.

As for snow, a few flurries will be possible by late morning into mid-afternoon. After that, we should start to see the white stuff fall in earnest, mainly between 6:00pm and 10:00pm. Accumulations will be on the light side, about an inch, maybe two, between now and dawn tomorrow.

Overnight temperatures tonight will drop to the low teens.
