Warmer than normal temps, a good bit of cloud cover for Thornton’s Thursday

Thursday, December 12th, 2019 5:07am MST

One more decent late fall day before weather conditions become a bit more unsettled. Today we will enjoy relatively mild temperatures although with a dose of clouds. Tomorrow, a series of storm systems will arrive mixing things up through the weekend.

Mostly cloudy skies will be above throughout the day today as we continue to see a good bit of mid and upper level moisture. Winds will be out of the west and provide some downslope warming helping us reach highs in the upper 40s.

Tonight, partly cloudy skies will be above with lows around 30 degrees.

Tomorrow, the first of a series of storms will be pounding the mountains with heavy snow. Here at lower elevations, we will be seeing a windy day. Saturday and Sunday bring much colder temperatures and some chances for snow here along the Front Range although at this time, it doesn’t look like we will see much.
