Thornton’s workweek starts out mild and dry but changes arrive tonight

Monday, September 30th, 2019 5:01am MDT

We will enjoy an unseasonably warm day today, probably the warmest day of the week. However, a cold front arrives tonight and that will bring much cooler temperatures and some chances for rain.

Sunny skies start us off and will be with us through the daytime hours Monday. This evening, clouds will increase as a cold front moves in. High temperatures today will top out around the 80 degree mark and conditions will be calm and dry.

With the front’s arrival tonight, clouds will increase and we may see some drizzle / light rain after midnight and through tomorrow morning. Some areas of fog will develop. Overnight lows tonight will be the mid-40s.

Looking ahead, Tuesday and Wednesday will be much cooler with a few chances for showers. Things should then warm up and dry out for the balance of the week. More details in the extended forecast here.
