Thornton’s weekend weather starts cooler and wet, will end warmer and dry

Friday, June 19th, 2020 5:02am MDT

The three day period offers a bit of a mixed bag of weather. Friday will see us remain cool and should bring some decent showers but we will then warm up and dry out for Saturday and Sunday.

For today, mostly cloudy skies will be above turning cloudy in the PM. Some light sprinkles of rain may be seen this morning then this afternoon activity will increase and become widespread. Some decent shower activity, perhaps with some thunder, will be seen from noon till about 5:00pm. Showers will then come to an end this evening. High temperatures today will top out around the 70 degree mark. Tonight, skies will be clearing and overnight lows will drop to around 50 degrees.

Saturday looks to bring a very nice recovery. Sunny to mostly sunny skies will be above and conditions will be dry. High temperatures will reach the mid-80s. Overnight Saturday into Sunday morning, partly cloudy skies will be above with lows in the mid-50s.

Sunday will be the warmest day of the period but with some more cloud cover. Partly sunny skies will be above with highs in the mid to upper 80s.

Have a great weekend!
