Thornton’s weekend to see temps cool, conditions become a bit unsettled

Friday, October 18th, 2019 4:59am MDT

Following on an unseasonably warm workweek, Friday and the weekend will see a change in the weather pattern. Temperatures return to near normal for the first part then turn cool to close things out.

For Friday, a cold front will arrive mid-morning and bring in cooler air with it. Breezy winds will come with the front and last through the afternoon and into the evening. Mostly sunny skies will be above with highs in the mid-60s. Tonight, skies will clear and that will allow temperatures to drop to close to freezing.

Saturday will be the calmest day of the period. Sunny skies will be above in the morning then a few clouds arrive in the afternoon. Highs will again be in the mid-60s with generally calm conditions. Saturday night into Sunday morning, partly cloudy skies will be above and winds will become breezy after midnight as another front arrives. Overnight lows will be in the mid-30s.

Sunday closes out the weekend with cooler temperatures and highs only in the mid-50s. We will have mostly sunny skies coupled with breezy winds. Sunday afternoon offers just a slight chance for a rain shower.

Have a great weekend!
