Thornton’s weekend starts out pleasant and mild, will end with a return of wintry conditions

Friday, November 8th, 2019 5:01am MDT

A bit of a mixed bag for the weekend. We start out with some of the nicest and warmest weather we have seen in a couple of weeks but as the weekend ends, Mother Nature brings the chill back.

For Friday, sunny skies with a just a few clouds here and there will be above. Conditions will be calm and high temperatures will climb to the mid-60s. Tonight, skies will be clear and lows dropping to the mid-30s.

Saturday will be the warmest day of the period. Lots of sun will be above and highs will be near the 70 degree mark. Saturday night, mostly clear skies will be above with lows in the mid-30s.

Sunday will be a day of transition. Mostly sunny skies will be above but it will be cooler with highs in the mid-50s. A cold front pushes in later in the day and that is going to bring about changes. Sunday night a wintry mix of freezing drizzle and snow will be seen and lows will drop to the low 20s.

Veterans Day will be mostly cloudy with light precipitation in the form of drizzle and snow possible. Highs will be below freezing and we may see an inch or two of the white stuff.

Enjoy the warmth while you can and keep an eye on http://www.thorntonweather.com/ as the next storm approaches.
