Thornton’s weekend starts out chilly & breezy, then clears out and warms up

Friday, January 14th, 2022 5:00am MDT

The three-day period starts out with a change from the recent mild weather offering colder temps, wind and perhaps just a touch of precipitation. After today though, conditions calm down and warm up.

For Friday, we will see some sun early then cloud cover will be increasing. With the increase in clouds will also come increased wind speeds as it will be quite breezy for most of the day. From mid-morning to late afternoon we may see some showers / light snow. Unfortunately it is not expected to be anything notable. High temperatures will top out around 40 degrees. Tonight, winds will settle down after dark and cloud cover will decrease after midnight. Overnight lows will be well into the teens.

After a cold start, Saturday will be chilly but calm. Highs tomorrow will top out in the low to mid-40s with sunny skies above. Saturday night, partly cloudy skies will be overhead with lows in the mid-20s.

Sunday looks to be the warmest day of the period. With sunny to mostly sunny skies, highs will top out around 50 degrees.

Have a great weekend!
