Temperatures climb on Wednesday, will push toward the 100 degree mark

Wednesday, July 17th, 2019 4:59am MST

With high pressure exerting dominance and conditions turning dry, we are set to enter our hottest period of the year so far.

Sunny skies start us off and will be followed by a few clouds later this day but nothing that will do much to cool things down.

Temperatures will climb quickly and head toward a right near 100 degrees. They will likely fall short of the record 102 degrees for the day however.

No thunderstorm activity is expected but there will be some breezy PM winds.

Tonight, skies will remain mostly clear with lows in the mid-60s.

How hot is it right now? Find out here.
