Sunny skies, seasonal temperatures and some breezy winds for Thornton’s Tuesday

Tuesday, October 22nd, 2019 5:03am MDT

Pretty typical weather for this time of year for us today. Temperatures will be right near normal with lots of sun but some breezy winds. Waiting in the wings, snow late tomorrow and Thursday.

For today, sunny skies start us off then we will see just a few clouds in the afternoon. Winds will be light initially then we will see some breezy conditions by late morning / early afternoon lasting until after sunset. High temperatures today will be right near the average high for the date of 63 degrees.

Tonight, partly cloudy skies will be above with lows in the mid-30s.

Looking ahead to the coming storm, arrival looks to be tomorrow afternoon with things getting started in earnest in the evening. We may see snow starting as soon as Wednesday’s PM rush hour and then light snow continuing overnight into early Thursday morning.

An inch or two will be possible for us, perhaps more if some banding gets going. It is possible the National Weather Service issues a Winter Weather Advisory by the end of the day today.

You will certainly want to keep watch as your evening commute tomorrow and your Thursday morning commute may be impacted.
