Summer arrives with a brief break from the heat, plenty of sun above

Astronomical summer arrived this morning at 3:13am. With the solstice, Thornton will see a bit of a cool down and pleasant conditions today.
Mostly sunny skies start us off and will be with us throughout the day. Breezy southwest winds look to be around all day but won’t be overly intrusive. High temperatures today will top out in the low 80s offering a welcome break from the heat of recent days.
Tonight, conditions will be calm with lows in the mid-50s under mostly cloudy skies.
Enjoy the cooler temps today as we will be warming right back for the balance of the workweek. However, cooler weather does look to return for the weekend.
