Monday will see an end to the snow, very cold temperatures will be sticking around

Monday, October 26th, 2020 5:17am MDT

Finally! We were in desperate need for moisture and Mother Nature finally obliged with a respectable snowfall. As that comes to an end, the cold will be sticking around for a bit longer.

Thornton received 4.7 inches of snow as of 4:00am. We will see some additional, light accumulations this morning but after noon it will be wrapping up and done entirely soon after. The end of the day should even see the sun start peeking out.

We are starting out the day in single digits and the daytime hours won’t offer much improvement. Look for highs today only in the mid to upper teens.

Tonight, skies will continue to clear with lows dropping well into the single digits, potentially hitting the zero degree mark.

Looking ahead, we will see a slow warming trend but it won’t be until the end of the week that temperatures return to normal. Check the extended forecast here.
