Monday offers up cooler temps, chance for heavy rain

Monday, August 15th, 2022 5:01am MDT

A pretty notable change in our weather for today. Temperatures are finally going to cool and, most notably, we stand a chance at a good dousing of rain.

Partly sunny skies will be above this morning then clouds increase this afternoon. High temperatures will top out in the low to mid-80s.

Afternoon will see some thunderstorm and shower activity with the best chances coming after 3:00pm. Should we get enough heating to really stir up convection, some of these storms will have the potential to drop a good bit of rain in a short period of time. Depending on how the morning plays out, we may be seeing some flood watches issued later.

Tonight, the evening may see some shower activity then things will settle down but with some lingering showers possible overnight. Lows will be around the 60 degree mark.

Our live radar will let you keep an eye on the storms.
