Light snow early Monday to come to an end, some sun by end of the day

Monday, March 22nd, 2021 5:06am MDT

Our latest weather maker is wrapping up right now. As of 4:00am Thornton had received 3.6 inches of heavy, wet snow and we will see additional, light accumulations this morning.

The day starts off with cloudy skies and light snow. Mid-afternoon will see that cloud cover start to break and the sun peek out. Highs today will top out around the 40 degree mark.

Additional accumulations of less than an inch will be seen between now and noon. A few, lingering showers of snow / rain may be seen in the early afternoon. A Winter Weather Advisory does remain in effect until noon.

Tonight, skies will be partly cloudy with overnight lows in the low to mid-20s.
