First full day of summer to bring cooler temperatures to Thornton

Courtesy of a cold front that moved through last night, we enjoyed a nice, overnight shower. Best of all, cooler temperatures will be on tap for today.
A good bit of cloud cover will be around initially then we will see that east through the morning leading to mostly sunny skies this afternoon. The rest of the day will be calm and dry. High temperatures today will be very pleasant and in the low to mid-70s.
Tonight, skies will be mostly clear with overnight lows in the mid-50s.
Enjoy the relatively cool weather today because we will be immediately rebounding to the 90s for a few days starting tomorrow. The extended weather forecast.
