Cold front’s arrival starts off Thornton’s workweek on the cool side

Monday, September 20th, 2021 5:02am MDT

With a trough and associated cold front moving in last night, we see a bit of a change in the weather today and tomorrow. Temps are going to be some of the coolest we have seen since May but, unfortunately, there won’t be much moisture.

After a few, early sprinkles of rain, we will then have mostly sunny skies for much of the day. Conditions will be dry and with breezy, cool north winds. Look for highs today near the 70-degree mark.

This evening we will see just a slight chance for a shower but if any rain falls, it isn’t expected to amount to much at all. Any showers will be done by midnight and then skies will begin to clear. Overnight lows tonight will dip to the low to mid-40s.

What does the rest of the workweek hold? See the extended forecast here.
