Clearing skies, chilly temperatures Thursday

Thornton received 1.6 inches of snow from yesterday’s event. Today, that system moves out and while temperatures will remain cold, we will see the sun return.
A good bit of cloud cover will be around early but it will be easing. By this afternoon, mostly sunny skies will be above. Temperatures are going to warm up a bit, topping out near the freezing mark.
Tonight, it will become quite cold with lows close to the single digits. There will be some increase in cloud cover.
