Thornton’s weekend to starts breezy but be overall seasonal

Friday, January 26th, 2018 5:23am MDT

The last weekend of January will offer up weather largely devoid of any drama. We will have a good bit of wind today but after that, things look to straighten up and be pretty typical for this time of year.

For today we’ll have mostly sunny skies above with a few clouds due to mid-level moisture. Temperatures will top out in the low 40s, a bit below normal. Probably the most notable thing winter-wise today will be the breezy winds that will occur throughout the day. Tonight, the winds will ease and we will have partly cloudy skies above. Temperatures will be chilly with lows around 20 degrees.

Saturday will bring mostly sunny skies above again with highs right near the average for the date of 44 degrees. Winds will be much calmer. Saturday night into Sunday morning look for partly clear skies and lows in the low to mid-20s.

We close out the weekend on Sunday with the nicest day of the three-day period. Mostly sunny skies will be above with highs in the low 50s.

Have a fantastic weekend!
