Thornton’s weekend to offer up seasonal temps, some chances for storms

Friday, July 14th, 2017 5:06am MDT

A three-day period with relatively typical weather conditions for us. Temperatures will be right near normal with a few chances for thunderstorms.

For Friday we will see mostly sunny skies above this morning to followed by a bit more cloud cover in the mid to late afternoon into the evening. Temperatures will head toward a high around 87 degrees. Mid-afternoon into the evening will have just a slight chance for thunderstorm activity but like yesterday, most of this looks like it will be to our south. Overnight tonight we will have partly clear skies and lows dipping to near 60 degrees.

Saturday will be much like today but with more clouds and perhaps a bit better chance for storms. Partly sunny skies will be above with highs in the mid-80s. After noon there will be some chances for isolated thunderstorm activity lasting into the evening and overnight hours. Lows Saturday night into Sunday morning again will be near 60 degrees.

For Sunday, we dry out and warm up a bit. We don’t expect to see any storms and sunny skies should be the rule. Highs will climb to close to the 90 degree mark.

Have a great weekend!
