The snow moves out, the wind moves in for a blustery Wednesday
Wednesday, January 30th, 2013 5:07am MDTThe good news is that temperatures will be a bit warmer today with Thornton expecting a high around 41°. The bad news is that with high pressure to the west and low pressure to the east the pressure gradient is going to lead to strong, gusty winds for today and tomorrow. Winds will increase late this morning and by the afternoon we will be seeing gusts approaching 30mph. The strong winds will continue overnight and through Thursday.
Up in the mountains snow will continue to pile up and gusty winds are going to make travel difficult. A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect up there through most of tomorrow.
