Thornton will close out the weekend with a day not entirely unlike yesterday. Look for temperatures to be a bit cooler and with some increased cloud cover.
Moisture continues to be in abundance and that is going to lead to another round of thunderstorms this afternoon and evening. Best chances for activity in our area will be from about 3:00pm to 11:00pm. Some of these storms may bring heavy rain and that will offer up the potential for flash flooding.
The foothills and burn scar areas are going to be particularly susceptible and a Flash Flood Watch has already been issued for those areas.
