Not much rest for rain-weary Colorado today unfortunately as more precipitation is in the forecast.
In terms of temperatures we will be a degree or two warmer than yesterday with Thornton’s high approaching the 80 degree mark. There will still be a good bit of cloud cover but we may see some blue peek out every now and then.
This afternoon we expect to see scattered showers and thunderstorms develop with most activity focused on the foothills and high country. Some of these could drop a good bit of rain in a short period of time.
A cold front moves in tonight and that, coupled with atmospheric moisture, will bring a better chance for showers late tonight through much of tomorrow. A Flash Flood Watch is in effect from noon today to 6:00pm Sunday for the foothills.
