Passing system to bring breezy winds, chance for showers

Tuesday, October 11th, 2016 5:19am MST

The beginning of a little bit of a change in Thornton’s weather as a system passes to our north. This, coupled with a cold front tonight, will cool things down quite a bit tomorrow.

For today we are seeing some breezy winds early which should settle down a bit this morning then pick back up later this afternoon as a cold front approaches. Above look for a healthy dose of cloud cover throughout the day.

Temperatures will be warming up to a high in the mid-70s. A few sprinkles may be seen early then better chances arrive this afternoon, overnight and particularly early Wednesday morning. At this time though, we aren’t expecting a lot of precipitation from the event.

The cold front will arrive this evening and with it cooler temperatures also arrive leading to highs in the mid to upper 50s tomorrow.

Keep an eye on the sky with our radar here.
