Latest storm to wind down in the morning, breezy but with sun later

Tuesday, November 17th, 2015 5:33am MST

As we feared, our mid-November storm had its biggest impact outside of Thornton.  While we recorded less than 4 inches, areas to the south and east saw much more.

This morning begins with some lingering snow showers but only a bit more accumulation is expected.  By mid-morning the snow should be pretty much done.  Winds will be gusty to 30mph or so through the morning before starting to ease this afternoon.

The sun will a return later today with partly to mostly sunny skies above by sunset. Temperatures will remain chilly through the day with our high reading coming in at around 40 degrees.

Looking ahead, we will be rebounding from the cold quickly with high temperatures readings approaching normal for the balance of the workweek. Get the extended forecast here.
